What is memory foam?
Memory foam is made of a high density, visco-elastic, material that contours to pressure and responds to body heat. This combination of responsive qualities effectively relieves pressure from your back, neck, shoulders, legs and feet. How does 5 lbs Memory foam feel?

Our  Memory foam is made of the same material, and it has a comparable 5 pound density, the only difference is ours in Made in Canada, and theirs in Sweden.

Is your foam Vacuum packed?  Most memory foam mattress companies online, buy their mattresses in large containers from China. In order to do this they have to use a technique called vacuum packaging. This consists of placing the mattress inside a large plastic bag, then they insert an industrial vacuum at the end, to remove all the air inside the bag. This compresses and squeezes the mattress to make it fit in the smallest box possible. Mattresses can be left in these boxes for years, which traps all the fumes inside the mattress, and breaks down the cells of the foam because of the high level of compression. Our mattresses are shipped full size, in a protective plastic and are never vacuum packed. Studies have shown that vacuum packaging damages the cell structure of the foam, which makes the mattress break down faster, and it may take an irregular shape when you unpack it.

Is your foam made in China? All our memory foam products are made in Canada. We value your business, and believe in providing your with the best, and safest memory foam products on the market today. Chinese imports account for more than 60 percent of the recalls announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Here's a highlight of those potentially hazardous products.

Does your memory foam contain any harmful chemicals? Our  memory foam does NOT CONTAIN PBDEs or chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's) which have been scientifically proven, to be harmful to your health. Recently the market has been flooded by vacuum packed memory foam coming from China and overseas. With all the controversy with the tainted milk scandal from China, and lead found in the paint of children's toys, can you really trust the chemicals used in memory foam mattresses that comes from these areas? Each Memory Foam Mattress we make in Canada, uses the safest plant based ingredients and industry Canada standards , to give you a product that is safe, naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic.

Does foam have an odor?
All new foam products have a “factory fresh” smell. This is normal as the foam is new. It will however completely disappear over time.

Can your foam be rolled or compressed for storage or shipping?
We hand roll your foam to fulfill your order. Plastic wrap is then added to prevent the foam from expanding or splitting. We do not suggest storing memory foam for an extended period of time in this manner. Studies have shown memory foam cell structure decays if left compressed for more than a couple weeks.

Do your mattresses include a box spring?
Our mattresses do not include a box spring or foundation. If your current base is solid and does not have any coils in it you will not have to purchase a new base. However if you require a new foundation, we carry a beautiful line of solid wood bed frames. When a foam mattress is on a solid wood foundation there is almost no motion transfer between sleepers. If you need a box spring, we will be happy to make a matching one for you. Simply substitute the bed frame for the box spring and the cost would be the same as our package deals.

Can I use an electric blanket with a memory foam mattress topper?
Yes you can as long as the electric blanket is on top of the foam and not underneath it. It is best to have a sheet or cover in between your foam and the electric blanket.

Will I need new sheets if I add a topper to my existing mattress?
That will depend on the thickness of your mattress. Standard bed sheets will fit a 12 inch thick mattress. Simply measure the thickness of your mattress and then add 2 or 3 inches to accommodate for the topper, and that will give you the new thickness of your mattress. If you are over 12 inches this may be a good reason to freshen up the look of your room with new deep-pocketed sheets. They make sheets up to 27" deep and can be found at most stores that carry a selection of linens. There is no need to sacrifice your comfort for looks.

Will memory foam feel firmer if the ambient temperature of the room is low?
Yes, memory foam is temperature sensitive. Memory foam is designed to get softer as your body heat raises the temperature of the foam. Unfortunately if memory foam is used in rooms that are colder than 15 degrees it will feel much firmer.

What is the secret in buying foam?
The secret to buying foam components is to make sure, you know, who you are getting the foam from. Don't be fooled by copycats. Many sellers can't buy foam in large volumes and cannot compete with MFC on pricing. We buy our foam in bulk only from FXI in Montreal and sell it directly to you. Many sellers online are selling foam that they are trying to manufacture on their own or buy from a start-up foam manufacturer still trying to figure out how to manufacturer visco-elastic memory foam. These copycat foams may weigh out when it comes to density but the comfort, support, and durability will be much different. They add sizzle to these copycat foams by inventing fake trademark names and long warranties to make it look like you are getting the best deal when you try to compare. This may sound like common sense but always ask: who manufactured the foam you are buying. Is it made in North America, or overseas with harmful chemicals? Finally always get your warranty from the original foam manufacturer. Some think they are getting a good deal by ordering from the US. Remember that when your parcel reaches Canada customs, UPS , FedEx and other courier will charge you a 50.00 $ brokers fee, as well as GST and maybe even duties if your product does not fall under NAFTA. And if ever you run into a warranty issue you will have to pay brokers fees every time your parcel crosses the border!

We are an online store and do not have points of sale. We do this in order to keep cost down and pass the savings on to you. We do however have a B&B Crystal-Inn in Mont Tremblant  were you can spend the night, trying your favorite mattress and pillows. And if you buy a mattress, your stay is free! What is your return policy?
By law in Canada we have to sell NEW PRODUCTS ONLY.
For this reasons and hygienic concerns we cannot accept any returns.
MFC is happy to provide all it’s customers with new products only.

When will my order be shipped?
Memory foam Mattress toppers: mattress toppers and pillows are shipped from our warehouse in Montreal within 1-2 business days after your order has been placed online. Traveling time with Fedex Ground is 1-8 business days, depending on where you live. Memory Foam Mattresses are shipped from our warehouse in BC 5-7 business days after your order is placed online. Traveling time by freight truck with Vitran is 1-14 business days, depending on where you live. Wood Bed frames are shipped from Quebec 12-15 business days after your order is placed online. Traveling time by Fedex is 1-14 business days, depending on where you live. Please note that all mattresses are curb side deliveries. This means that you will need to get some help in order to bring it in the house.
